From December 2016, Zhejiang University has established 7 campuses: Ziji ngang, Yuquan, Xixi, Huajiachi, Zhijiang, Zhoushan and Haining which cover a total of ​​approximately 640 acres. About the International Campus of Zhejiang University at Haining
Home to the PME program, the International Campus at Haining first opened its doors in 2015 and ushered in the inaugural class of PME students in 2017. The International Campus, covering more than 400 thousand square meters, is located in the east of the city of Haining (midway between Shanghai and Hangzhou) and is surrounded by an ecological wetland from the south and by the scenic Juan Lake from the north. The overall architectural style of the campus is an organicblend of traditional European and Chinese elements. The establishment of the Haining Campus is an unprecedented endeavor to explore new models of higher education that integrate the best practices of the east and west, learn from comprehensive’s advanced educational experiences, and cultivate talents with innovative minds and international vision through the cooperations with the world’s top-level universities.
The Philosophy-Mathematics-Economics program for undergraduate students is a major international program in Haining Campus allocatedwith abundant resources and efficient support. Overseen by the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, PME joins two other master’s programs for international students, Chinese Studies and PIEGL (Program in Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Global Leadership). These work together to create a parallel teaching environment with a unique fusion of Chinese and international perspectives that seeks to cultivate confident and innovative professionals.
