Nominees for the People of Distinction | HONG Zhenzhen: Deeply Rooted in the Frontline of Education and Service, Serving as a Guardian of Student Growth
Hong Zhenzhen, female, born in January 1989, joined the Zhejiang University International Business School (ZIBS) in May 2019. She currently serves as Director of the Student Affairs Department of the school, Secretary of the First Graduate Student Party Branch of the school, and Deputy Secretary of the International Campus Youth League Committee (in charge of the International Students Association). Since joining the university, she has undergone multi-position experience including comprehensive administration, Executive Director of the Master of Finance program, and student affairs coordination. She has always upheld the work philosophy of "student-growth-centered," deeply participating in the entire student cultivation process, and has made outstanding contributions on the frontline of management services and caring for faculty and students.
I. Deepening Program Operations, Escorting the High-Quality Graduation of the First Cohort of Master of Finance Students
During her tenure as Executive Director of the Master of Finance program, she was fully responsible for the full-cycle operation and management of program admissions, course teaching, thesis training, internship practice, and graduation employment. In 2022, the first cohort of 43 Master of Finance students graduated successfully, with the employment rate of Chinese students in the graduation year reaching 95%, establishing replicable and referenceable systematic experience for the school's professional master's talent cultivation. As the school's employment officer, relying on the campus's "331" employment guidance framework and the "Building Dreams, Traveling the World Internationally" employment guidance brand, she conducted policy presentations on selected graduates and interpretations of international organization talent dispatch policies, guiding students to integrate personal development into national strategies. In June 2023, one graduate entered the National Development and Reform Commission through the central selected graduates program, the first since the International Campus began operation.

II. Building a Work System, Promoting Student Affairs from "Transactional Response" to "Systematic Governance"
Starting in November 2022, she comprehensively coordinated the school's student work. Facing a complex student structure comprising full-time and part-time students, Chinese and international students, and graduate and undergraduate students, she promoted the establishment of three functional modules: the Career Development Center, the Cross-Cultural Center, and the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center. The Career Development Center achieves full-process coverage from career enlightenment and employment practice to career selection and employment; the Cross-Cultural Center uses "Walking in China" as its main brand to enhance the cross-cultural abilities of Chinese and international students; the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center uses "Entrepreneurship Workshop" to cultivate students' innovative and entrepreneurial thinking. The school's student work system has become increasingly complete, and no major safety or stability incidents have occurred among the student body.

III. Upholding Party Building Leadership, Practicing "Educating Talents for the Party and the Nation"
As Secretary of the First Graduate Student Party Branch, she standardly implements the "Three Meetings and One Lesson" and themed Party day systems, strictly controlling the "three gates" of Party member development. She created the "Finance Party Lesson" brand, organizing Party members to conduct practical research in Yiwu, Hangzhou, and other places, visiting Jianhua Village to study grassroots governance, conducting joint learning and construction with Huabao Trust, and signing a "Red Partner" Party-building co-construction agreement with the Hangzhou Business Department of Industrial Bank. She solidly carried out "I Do Practical Things for Faculty and Students," organizing special employment sharing sessions on banks, financial institutions, internet companies, and central selected graduates. She has cumulatively cultivated 4 Party members who entered the National Development and Reform Commission, the National People's Congress, and other units through central selection, fully leveraging the bridging role of grassroots Party organizations in connecting with and serving young students.

IV. Expanding Internationalized Education Platforms, Supporting the Integrated Growth of Chinese and International Students
During her tenure as Deputy Secretary of the International Campus Youth League Committee, she was in charge of the International Students Association, promoting international students' cross-cultural adaptation and "know China, friend China" education. She continuously builds the "Walking in China" series of national conditions education brands, annually organizing themed activities in Yiwu, Anji, Haining, and other places, leading Chinese and international students to experience China's economic development and cultural heritage on site, deepening campus-city integration. She led the first "Global Competence Workshop," inviting members of the school's International Advisory Board to conduct 9 lectures, roundtable exchanges, case practices, and other activities. She actively expands resources for enterprises going global, facilitating international students' employment in China, forming a differentiated internationalized employment characteristic.

V. Linking Resources Inside and Outside the School, Empowering Students' Comprehensive Development
She connected with Industrial Bank and Integer Intelligence to carry out talent training camps, expanding internship and employment positions and industry mentor teams, initially establishing the first batch of more than 10 industry mentors from financial institutions such as Ant Group and Caitong, and promoting students' participation in dual-degree joint training programs with the Chinese University of Hong Kong and ESCP. Using the "Entrepreneurship Workshop" as a carrier to cultivate students' innovative and entrepreneurial thinking, the workshop grew from 4 teams and 20 students in its first session to nearly 40 teams cumulatively.

Due to outstanding work performance, she has successively been named an Outstanding Employee of ZIBS in 2019 and 2020, received excellent annual assessment in 2020 and 2021, received the Zhejiang University Teaching Award for Promoting Student Employment in National Strategies in 2022, was named an Outstanding Communist Party Member of the International Campus in 2023, an Outstanding League Cadre of Zhejiang University in 2024, one of the Top Ten Instructors for Zhejiang University Summer College Student Social Practice Activities in 2025, and an Outstanding Party Affairs Worker of the International Campus in 2026. With a high sense of responsibility and full enthusiasm, she has taken root in the frontline of student work, interpreting through practical actions the original aspiration and responsibility of managing and serving through education.
