Mobility and Logistics in the Era of the Coronavirus Pandemic

Zhejiang University-University of Sydney International cooperation seed fund project

The program will develop theories, methods, and models to better understand the underlying relations between the social and economic dimensions of mobility and logistics on one hand and the spread of the virus on the other hand. Such advancement contributes to the development of more resilient mobility and logistics systems. Meanwhile, the project will be focused on the idea of Autonomous Mobile Lockers (AML) to support couriers in the field.

This project will be led by Prof. Simon Hu. In University of Sydney, Prof. Michael GH Bell will be the leader of the project.

Demand forecasting and management of ride-sourcing fleet for smart cities

Zhejiang University Cross-discipline Pre Research Project

The project will jointly lead with Prof. Chao Wu from School of Public Affairs. The proposed project will tackle the problem of demand prediction and management for ride-sourcing services, and find innovative solutions to complement traditional public transport modes.
