I. Principles of evaluation
Adhere to the award principles of rewarding excellence, encouraging innovation, and preferring lack to overcrowding.
Adhere to the review principles of science, rigor, openness, fairness and justice.
II. Scope of the selection
- 1. The academic achievements to be evaluated must be basic theoretical research or applied research results in the fields of natural science, engineering and technology, humanities and social science or related interdisciplinary fields, which have significance and effect on science and technology, economic and social development. The achievements should be mainly completed by scholars of International Campus (the achievements should be marked with International Campus or the relevant units of the International Campus); or achieved by scholars of International Campus through participation in domestic and international cooperative research, and scholars of International Campus have made most important contributions to them.
- 2. The academic achievements to be evaluated are, in principle, those that are publicly published, distributed or recognized by awards on or after January 1, 2021, or publicly reported in the mainstream media, with special cases being considered as appropriate.
III. Setting of awards
No more than 10 awards will be available for this competition.
IV. Selection process
- 1. Recommendation. Each Institute and International Research Center shall submit the ranked recommended projects to Office of Scientific Research and Technology Transfer by December 10, 2021. In principle, the number of projects recommended by each unit should not exceed 5.
- 2. Selection. From December 20, 2021 to December 30, 2021, Office of Scientific Research and Technology Transfer will assist the Academic Committee of International Campus in evaluating the recommended projects, and at the same time, candidate achievements will be introduced on WeChat Official Account of International Campus, Zhejiang University and a WeChat vote will be launched. The results of the vote will be used as reference for the evaluation of the Academic Committee of International Campus. The final decision on the award-winning results will be made by the Academic Committee of International Campus.
- 3. Public announcement. By December 31, 2021, the results will be announced on the official website of International Campus for no less than five business days.
- 4. Publication. After the public announcement is completed, the winning results will be officially announced by 10 January 2022.
