They aim to identify new structural medicine candidates from microbial secondary metabolites by combination of synthetic biology, bioinformatics, organic chemical synthesis, and characterization of biological activity in order to help people to solve microbial drug resistance problem. Synthetic biology combines science and engineering which enables researchers to study, modify, create and recreate highly complex biochemical pathways, DNA sequences, genes and natural biological systems, so as to understand and answer some of the most challenging questions about life.

The theme of this forum is Tech-driven Business and Finance, and it focuses on Fintech, financial law, digital commerce, and enterprise innovation management. During this forum, ZIBS will join hands with domestic and foreign scholars to explore new ideas for the innovation and development of Chinese enterprises in the digital era. We are going to have a launching ceremony of two research centers during the forum. And jointly with Alibaba Research Institute, Alibaba International Station, Tmall Global and Ant Group research institute, we will release the "RCEP digital trade index", aiming at exploring the development status and trend of cross-border digital trade in RCEP region. We will also review the innovative research achievements of ZIBS in Fintech in 2021; and hold a global business school deans' forum to jointly explore the opportunities and challenges of business schools in the digital age. In addition, the forum will invite outstanding young professors of ZIBS and young researchers of joint innovation centres to share their ideas and thoughts on future development of digitalization.
