What is the bird strikes?
Bird strikes refer to instances where birds, predominantly with glass curtain walls, collide, leading to injuries or fatalities. This phenomenon ranks as the second-largest anthropogenic threat to bird survival, surpassed only by predation from stray cats.
Bird strikes are primarily associated with the reflective properties of glass on structures. When birds see the reflected sky on mirrored glass or the environment on the other side of transparent glass, they fail to perceive the presence of the glass and collide with it.
Birds mistakenly perceive transparent glass as the sky, colliding with it and tragically losing their lives. These incidents not only cast a shadow of sorrow over the campus but also pose a threat to ecological balance.

The campus ECO club and the Office of Campus Operations and Support worked together to quickly carry out the pilot project of intalling bird-safety film on campus.
The cleaning uncle started to clean the glass wall. Only by cleaning the glass, the film can be strongly intact

The curtain wall has been covered with the bird-safety film. This film may seem ordinary, but it can really make a difference. It can reduce reflections so that birds will not mistake glass for the sky, thus effectively avoiding collisions.
