On November 19, 2016, the first annual meeting of the Professional International Education Committee, Chinese Society of Educational Development Strategy was convened on the Haining International Campus.
The opening ceremony was hosted by Prof. Song Yonghua, Executive Vice President of Zhejiang University and Dean of the International Campus, ZJU. Prof. Min Weifang, Chairman of Chinese Society of Educational Development Strategy, Prof. Gu Mingyuan, Honorary Chairmen of Chinese Society of Educational Development Strategy, Prof. Lin Jianhua, President of Peking University and former President of ZJU, and Prof. Ying Yibin, Vice President of ZJU and Executive Associate Dean of the International Campus attended the ceremony.
The conference was divided into three forums (i.e. Interpretation of the "opening up of education" and "construction of double-first-class universities" policy, Strategic planning for the opening up of education and construction of double-first-class universities, High level of sino-foreign cooperative education: research and practice) and lasted a day. In the conference, around 300 teacher representatives from colleges and universities across China gathered for exchange of ideas on how to promote the opening up of education and facilitating the construction of "double-first-class" universities in China in a new period of time.
