Professor Ouyang Hongwei, Dean of Zhejiang University-University of Edinburgh Institute, was inducted as fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE College of Fellows class of 2020) for his pioneering work in tissue engineering, biomaterials, and sports medicine. In 2020, 156 scientists around the world were elected.
The induction ceremony was originally scheduled to be held at the American Academy of Sciences in Washington, D.C., on March 30, 2020. However, due to the unusual current global situation, it was announced online.
