The contemporary ethics of virtue, he is a very famous expert in the field. He is currently a member of the royal Irish academy of sciences and chair professor of philosophy at Miami university. He specializes in ethics, rational choice, moral psychology and political philosophy. Professor Slote has been a fellow and chair of Trinity college Dublin's philosophy department and chair of the American Society for Value Inquiry. As early as 1984 and 1985, he published his research on human reason and virtue in Tanner Lecture, the most famous humanistic value Lecture in British and American academic circles, and his academic achievements were highly praised.
