The human brain is arguablythe most complex structure on the planet, which gives us the ability to become“the lords of creation”. When the brain goes wrong, it can have devastatingeffects on both the individuals afflicted and their families. To understand howthe brain works and to figure out what’s wrong in brain disorders represent abig challenge for neuroscientists. In this lecture, I will briefly review thehistory of neuroscience research and will share some interesting stories. Iftime permits, I will also talk a little bit of ongoing research in my labregarding social interaction and social deficits.
