The donation ceremony from BLS Group Co., Ltd to Zhejiang University Education Foundation was held in International Campus, Zhejiang University, On April 8, 2021. QIAN Xinyu, the Chairman of the BLS Group Co., Ltd; Prof. OUYANG Hongwei, Executive Vice Dean of International Campus, ZJU; WENG Liang, the Deputy Director Development and Liaison Office of Zhejiang University and the Deputy Secretary General of Zhejiang University Education Foundation; PENG Linjun, member of the standing committee of Haining Municipal Party Committee and Director of Haining Organization Department, and faculty and staff representatives of the International Campus attended the donation ceremony. The ceremony was chaired by ZHUGE Yang, Deputy Secretary of the Communist Party Committee of International Campus, ZJU, ZJU.
The BLS Group Co., Ltd donated five million RMB for the establishment of "QIAN Xinyu Academic Exchange Fund of the International Campus" in order to support the discipline construction and the talent cultivation. QIAN Xinyu was awarded for donation nameplate and certificate by OUYANG Hongwei and WENG Liang during the donation ceremony.
Prof. OUYANG Hongwei expressed gratitude towards QIAN Xinyu for his concern about Zhejiang University’s educational causes and his strong support to the International Campus. OUYANG mentioned that the donation from the BLS Group Co., Ltd will be a shining mark in the development of the International Campus and also set a good example for the rest of the enterprises in Haining. He also mentioned that in the past five years, the International Campus has made positive explorations in talent cultivation models, academic development trends, governance systems and mechanisms and other aspects. In the future, the International Campus will keep on gathering science and technology and human resources to promote the construction of the international cooperation educational model area through the deep integration of government, industry, university and research, and further serve the development.
PENG Linjun indicated that the International Campus plays a core role in Haining’s socio-economic development. The support and investment in education embody the deep feelings of education from the private entrepreneurs. What is done by today the BLS Group Co., Ltd will benefit future generations. In the future, Haining will forge ahead towards the new goal of becoming a talent gathering place, a scientific research transformation place, an achievements trading place and a new industrial highland. We hope that more Haining enterprises will further strengthen the cooperation with the international campus so that these enterprises could play a supporting role in building a high-quality academic ecosystem.
