On the afternoon of January 26th, the International Campus held the Security and Stability Work and Pandemic Prevention and Control Working Meeting at the end of the autumn and winter semester of 2020.
In the meeting, the highlights of the Campus’ security and stability meeting were conveyed. Each department, Residential College, Comprehensive Management and Fire Safety Special Team, and Laboratory Safety Special Team reported the overall situation of safety and stability work at the end of the semester together with self-inspection and sampling results.
The meeting assessed the safety and stability work going forward, proposed safety measures to eliminate the hidden dangers found in the inspection, and clarified the safety management principles of laboratory opening and students staying in school during the winter vacation.
The meeting also reported on the Campus’ pandemic prevention and control plan for the winter vacation, focusing on the requirements of epidemic prevention and control, education and guidance, strengthening Campus control and student safety management, and arrangements for returning to school at the beginning of next semester.
ZHUGE Yang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the International Campus, ZJU, summed up the security and stability work of the Campus in the past year and arrange the work for next step. He said that since last year the Campus has implemented its responsibilities in terms of security and stability. All units and departments have pooled their efforts to overcome practical difficulties, such as the difficulty in managing a remote campus and the complicated situation of Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools, and achieved phased success in epidemic prevention and control, ensuring the overall security and stability of the Campus. At the beginning of the New Year, all units and departments should raise their standing, stay laser focused on security and stability work, and further enhance their understanding in this continuing uncertain and complex security and stability situation. We should ensure that responsibilities, measures, supervision, and personnel are in place. For successful emergency planning, the directors of all units and departments should take the lead, improve emergency response, and keep the flow of information moving.
Prof. WANG Yufen, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the International Campus and the Secretary of the Party Working Committee, presided over the meeting. All members of the Security and Stability Committee of the International Campus, directors of international research centers, and managers of service companies of Party B attended the meeting.
