Dear all students, faculty and staff,
The situation of the epidemic of pneumonia caused by the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) is still very serious, and people across the country are making all-out efforts to control the spread of the virus. The International Campus attaches paramount importance to ensuring the physical and mental health of all students, faculty and staff. We hereby kindly ask you to follow the guidelines for the epidemic prevention and control.
1. Following the guidelines of Zhejiang Provincial Government, the International Campus has decided to postpone the start of the spring semester until after February 17. The official start date will be notified in advance in line with ZJU’s requirements, taking into account both the situation of the epidemic and the actual situation of the International Campus.
2. To safeguard the health of the students, faculty and staff, please DO NOT return to the campus until further official notice. Anyone who need to return due to special circumstances must get approval before doing so. Those who have traveled in areas where the outbreak started, or have had contact with confirmed or suspected cases, should report to the community where you reside, and meanwhile stay at home for medical observation, or as required by the medical staff.
3. Following the requirements of epidemic prevention and control, the International Campus has made and put into force stricter campus management measures. Students, faculty and staff without advanced approval to return and all other people are not allowed to enter the campus during this period. The library, gymnasium, IT on-site service, and shuttle services are temporarily closed. Stricter measures have been implemented for the Administrative Building, Residential Colleges, and faculty and staff apartment buildings, and measures for ZJE, ZJUI and LAS buildings have been made and are in effect according to their own circumstances.
4. All students, faculty and staff should keep calm and remain rational, and are encouraged to maintain a balanced schedule of study, work and exercise. All members should obtain information about the epidemic from the official channels and DO NOT share or disseminate unverified information regarding the epidemic. The entire community should strengthen self-protection and reduce unnecessary outdoor activities as much as possible, pay attention to personal hygiene, practice effective and frequent handwashing, and wear masks properly in public spaces. If you have symptoms, including fever, cough, or fatigue, please go to the nearest medical facility as soon as possible. According to the requirements of ZJU and the local community, information about the health condition of all students, faculty and staff is collected daily, and your kind cooperation in this process is highly appreciated.
5. Safeguarding the physical and mental health of all students, faculty and staff is the top priority of the International Campus.
