Autumn has begun, but the heat of summer is still here. On August 17, the International Campus of Zhejiang University ushered in another batch of fresh faces – the new undergraduate students of 2019. As early as 6.30 in the morning, some of the freshmen had already arrived to register at Residential College No.2 on the International Campus.
In 2019, International Campus enrollment continues to expand. A total of 290 undergraduate freshmen – 284 domestic students and 6 international students – were enrolled in the six majors, Biomedical Sciences, Biomedical Informatics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering. Domestic students have come from Zhejiang, Guangdong, Shanghai, Shandong, Hebei, Jiangxi, and more than ten other provinces.
At 11 a.m., Professor He Lianzhen (Vice President of Zhejiang University and Dean of the International Campus, ZJU), Professor Fu Qiang (Assistant President of Zhejiang University, Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Vice Dean of the International Campus, ZJU) and other leaders of the International Campus, together with the directors or deans of each Institute, Office of General Administration, Center of Academic Affairs, Office of Student Affairs, Office of Campus Development and Management, and other offices came to the Residential College to visit the newly-registered freshmen, and their parents.

“How do you like the environment of the International Campus?”
In response to these friendly greetings from the leaders of the International Campus, the freshmen and their parents expressed the view that, in this beautiful campus environment, the students must study and work hard, develop their skills, and strive for early success.
