Nine students majoring in Civil Engineering from ZJUI went to Zijingang Campus to meet with teachers and students at the Zhejiang University Branch of the International Students’ Club of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) in the afternoon of March 23. The purpose of the meeting is to help prepare the students to compete in the 19th “Zhong Tian Cup”, the Undergraduate Structural Design Competition of Zhejiang University.
The students visited the model demonstration rooms and studied many of the projects which are now under preparation by other candidates. They also had the opportunity to see those models that had done well in national, provincial, and ZJU competitions.
Teachers and students at ASCE explained the specific rules of the structural design competition. They also expressed a warm welcome to ZJUI students, and wished them a wonderful success at the competition.
