The inauguration ceremony for 2017 freshmen was held in the stadium on Zijingang Campus in the evening of August 27th. Thousands of parents, friends, and teachers gathered at the ceremony to congratulate the students on joining the big family of Zhejiang University and wish them the very best in embarking on a new journey with passion and confidence.
President Wu Zhaohui delivered a welcome speech at the ceremony encouraging the students to carry forward ZJU’s culture and tradition of “Seeking Truth” and “Pursuing Innovation” and make contributions to national prosperity, social development, and human progress.
The university badges were solemnly worn by International Campus ZJUers who made the commitment to be future leaders with national passion, international vision, global competitiveness, and world-wide responsibility.
