Song Yonghua Visited HK Universities to Investigate Liberal Education and Residential College System

On September 27 and September 28, 2016, Vice Executive President Song Yonghua led a delegation to visit several Hong Kong universities including Lingnan University, Hong Kong University and Chinese University of Hong Kong, in order to investigate the liberal education and residential college system in HK. 

In Lingnan University, the delegation was briefed on the characteristics and content of the University's liberal education; in Hong Kong University, the delegation learned the University's go-global strategy and some basic facts about its liberal education, and hold in-depth discussions on issues concerning the curriculum design, implementation and evaluation; in Chinese University of Hong Kong, both parties talked about the possible cooperation between each other's residential colleges, after which the delegation paid a site tour to the Lee Woo Sing College. 

During his stay in Hong Kong, Song was invited to the presentation ceremony of The Shaw Prize 2016, and met with Fong Yat-Wah, Chairman of the Shaw Foundation. 

Also in the delegation are Fu Qiang, Associate Dean of the International Campus, Zhang Meifeng, Secretary of the Preparatory Committee for the 120th Anniversary of ZJU, Dang Ying, Vice Director of the Development and Liaison Office of ZJU , and Wang Yufen and Xu Ying, Associate Masters of the Residential College of the International Campus.
