The first meeting of ZJUE Joint Management Committee was held on July 15th. The event was attended by Song Yonghua, Chair of the Committee, Executive Vice President of ZJU and Dean of International Campus, Ying Yibin, Vice President of ZJU and Vice Executive Dean of the International Campus, Chen Zhi, Vice Executive Dean of School of Medicine, Ouyang Hongwei, Dean of Basic Medicine Faculty, Catherine Elliott, College Registrar of the College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine of UOE, Jeremy Bradshaw, Assistant Principal of UOE, and John Stewart, Executive Dean of the ZJU-UoE Joint Institute.

The meeting examined and approved the nomination of Dean, Executive Dean and Vice Dean of ZJU-UoE Institute. The participants also heard a report by Prof. John Stewart, on behalf of a working group on the preparation of the joint institute, who outlined the plans about the institute’s structure, financial budget and faculty recruitment.
On September 22, the Committee is expected to hold its second meeting, hearing the updates on the working group's progress.
