On June 16, Vice Principal of University of Edinburgh Professor John Savill paid a visit to International Campus in Haining, accompanied by Vice Executive President and Dean of International Campus Professor Song Yonghua, Vice President and Vice Executive Dean of International Campus Professor Ying Yibin as well as Dean of ZJU-UoE Institute Professor Ouyang Hongwei.

Professor John Savill was briefed on the master plan of International Campus and its construction progress, and showed great confidence in its opening in September, after the delegation's tour around the campus and visit to campus facilities such as the residential colleges and teaching buildings.
During the stay in Hangzhou, Professor John Savill and President Song Yonghua together unveiled the plate for ZJU-UoE Institute and expressed their wish to make the institute a model for Chinese-foreign cooperatively-run schools.
