From September 5 to 6, the iPRIDE training class for management staff of the International Campus was successfully held.
The training focused on the mission of constructing an “International Collaborative Education Model” and aimed at building a first-class management team with "International vision, Patriotism, Resilience, Innovation, Dedication, and Excellence (iPRIDE)”. The class included lectures on global competency and cross-cultural adaptation, service science and management tools, as well as management theory and practice. The trainees were also asked to participate in panel discussions, the conclusions of which were presented at the closing ceremony.
The top leadership of International Campus and deans of the joint institutes were specially invited to the give lectures. Professor HE Lianzhen, Vice President of ZJU, interpreted the Global ZJU 2.0 strategic initiative and encouraged young staff to bear ZJU’s mission and vision in mind and develop into future leaders for the building of a world-class university. Using his own experience as an example, Professor OUYANG Hongwei, Dean of International Campus, elaborated on innovation ability building and international collaborative education model strategy. He encouraged young colleagues to do meaningful things and grow into research-oriented managers.
The training class provided a learning and communication platform for staff and was very well received. It was organized by the Human Resources Office of the campus. Ninety-two staff members attended the class. CAI Quan, Executive Deputy Secretary of the Communist Party Committee and Vice Dean of the International Campus, attended the opening ceremony and gave opening remarks.
