On August 25, International Campus welcomed more than 360 Chinese undergraduate students from the Class of 2027.

QU Lijuan, Vice Dean of International Campus, together with other vice deans and office directors, visited the new students in the Residential College and talked with their parents.

During the exchange, WANG Jiarui, a freshman from Shijiazhuang majoring in Biomedical Sciences, talked about the reason why he chose the International Campus: "The student cultivation mode that integrates the East and the West is unique. Also, I'm looking forward to experiencing the internationalized learning atmosphere in a domestic Campus." CHEN Lihan, who graduated from Hangzhou Senior High School, is a "second generation of Zhejiang". CHEN's father said that he is an alumnus of Zhejiang University, and it is his greatest wish to send his child to study here, hoping that his child will adhere to the motto of “Seeking Truth, Pursuing Innovation”, and excel in this beautiful campus. YUAN Yizhou, who graduated from Chunhui Middle School in Shaoxing said, "I want to follow in the footsteps of Professor CHU Kochen, the former president of ZJU, and write my own stories here."

Vice Dean QU Lijuan presented traditional Chinese books and campus mugs to the representatives of the new students who recently celebrated their birthdays, or will in the approaching days. She encouraged the students to embrace the world while persisting to inherit and carry forward traditional Chinese culture. She also wished the new students to realize their dreams in ZJU, and be proud of the name of “ZJUer” with the many brilliant people in ZJU’s history. After the exchange, students visited the Campus and took part in ice-breaking activities.
