A Delegation from the University of Kiel Visits the International Campus

A delegation of 17 staff and students from the University of Kiel, Germany, visited the International Campus of Zhejiang University on April 15, marking the beginning of a friendly academic exchange. The visiting delegation was led by Solveig Randhahn, Head of the Staff Unit at the University of Kiel, and was welcomed by Professor Qu Haidong, Vice Dean of the International Campus.

Professor QU, along with representatives from the Office of Planning and Advancement and the Center of China Studies, introduced the latest developments at Zhejiang University and provided a comprehensive introduction to the International Campus. Solveig Randhahn highlighted the University of Kiel’s international cooperation initiatives and expressed strong interest in expanding collaboration between the two universities across a range of fields. In-depth discussions took place on topics such as international student recruitment, faculty and student exchanges, and academic and cultural collaboration, reaching preliminary consensus on several areas of cooperation.

During their visit, the Kiel delegation toured the Zhejiang University International Business School (ZIBS) and the campus library and had discussions with current students. From April 16 to April 25, the group continued their visit to the Zijingang and Zhijiang campuses of the University, participating in student exchange activities, enterprise visits, and cultural excursions. This visit follows on the visit to the University of Kiel in November 2024 led by the iZJU delegation, symbolizing the continuation and deepening of the friendly ties between the two institutions.
