On July 3rd, Prof. Ernst van den Ende, a member of the executive board and director of Animal Sciences Group at Wageningen University & Research (WUR), visited the International Campus, Zhejiang University (ZJU). Prof. Min Li, Chief of International Campus, met with the guest.
Min Li provided a detailed overview of the latest developments of ZJU to Ernst van den Ende, elaborating on the International campus’ history, educational philosophy, and main achievements. Ernst van den Ende introduced the developing strategy, cultivating system, and disciplinary features of WUR. Professor Gu Baojing, Vice Dean of the College of Environment and Resource Sciences, Zhejiang University, analyzed the severe challenges facing global agricultural resources and the environment. He pointed out that the collaboration between the two universities' leading disciplines will bring new prospects for future-oriented smart agriculture and ecological conservation. Both parties expressed hope to further explore educational cooperation driven by scientific research on the basis of existing ties.
During the visit, the WUR delegation toured the campus and held in-depth talks with heads of relevant institutes and offices.
