To help the class of 2025 freshmen adapt to their new university life more quickly and smoothly, the International campus organized a series of training and experiential activities titled "Adapting to University Life" on the first day after their registration. On the morning of August 23, the first session of the experiential activities was launched. It focused on the university's history and culture, how to support growth, and campus life. LI Min, Chief of ZJU International Campus, attended the event and delivered a report.

LI Min, on behalf of the International Campus, extended warm congratulations and a sincere welcome to the class of 2029 undergraduate freshmen, and delivered the first lecture to them at the International Campus. LI Min recounted Zhejiang University’s trailblazing endeavors over its 120-year history and highlighted the remarkable achievements the university has made in advancing toward the forefront of world-class institutions. All of which is now guided by its lofty mission in the era of new development. To provide freshmen with a comprehensive understanding of their upcoming university life, LI Min introduced the International Campus’s educational background, positioning, and resources. She encouraged students with the proverb, “A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor," urging them to courageously overcome challenges, broaden their horizons, foster innovation, and develop resilience in an internationally integrated environment blending Eastern and Western cultures. She emphasized maintaining a strong thirst for knowledge, integrating personal growth into the great journey of national development and rejuvenation, nurturing a sense of national pride, and demonstrating global responsibility.

WU Hang, Member of the Party Committee of the International Campus and Director of the Student Affairs Office and Residential College, introduced the distinctive features of student work and the residential college-based education system at the International Campus. Through case studies, he vividly showcased the campus’s unique educational outcomes and emphasized that freshmen should look beyond academic performance as the sole metric, instead anchoring their international growth direction within the "five dimensions of development" encompassing moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic, and labor education.

XU Shuna from the Office of Operation and Support comprehensively presented various support services, including dining, transportation, library resources, and IT resources, from the perspectives of campus services, library services, and IT services.

WANG Zhou, Deputy Director of Office of Operation and Support, delivered a safety education presentation covering national security, cyber civility, guarding against telecom fraud, as well as fire safety, public security, traffic safety, and health.
