On November 16, a delegation from the University of Turin led by Rector Cristina Prandi visited International Campus, Zhejiang University and was met by Zhou Jianghong, Vice President of Zhejiang University. Li Min, Chief of the International Campus, and Qu Haidong, Vice Dean, also attended the meeting.
Vice President Zhou extended a warm welcome to Rector Cristina Prandi and her delegation. He briefed the guests on the University’s latest advances in cultivating top-tier talent, building disciplinary platforms, expanding international cooperation, and recalled the long-standing partnership with Turin. He noted that the two universities already collaborate across degree programs, student exchanges, and joint research, and have together produced a cohort of graduates who are now driving China-Italy economic, trade, and cultural exchanges. Zhou expressed the hope that the two sides will deepen education, scientific, and technological cooperation to promote university-city integration and contribute to the steady growth of China-Italy relations.
Rector Prandi praised Zhejiang University’s recent achievements and affirmed the strong ties forged through the China Studies Program. She outlined the University of Turin’s strategic priorities in talent development and interdisciplinary innovation, and looked forward to broadening cooperation with Zhejiang University in faculty mobility and joint research, with the goal of creating a flagship model for China-Italy higher-education collaboration.
During their visit, the delegation toured the "Italian Youth Photography Exhibition" in the campus library, Guantong College, the International Research Center for Functional Polymer, and ZIBS. They also met University of Turin students currently studying at the International Campus to learn about their academic life and study abroad experiences. Representatives from the International Campus and the Institute of China Studies also attended the meeting.
