University of Toronto Delegation Visits International Campus

On the morning of December 4, 2025, Professor Alex Mihailidis, Associate Vice President for International Partnerships of the University of Toronto, led a delegation visit to the International Campus, Zhejiang University. Prof. Min Li, Chief of the International Campus, greeted and met with the guests.

Chief Li extended a warm welcome to Prof. Mihailidis and his delegation. She introduced the positioning, cultivation characteristics, and development achievements of the International Campus. Prof. Mihailidis outlined the management model and disciplinary characteristics of the University of Toronto, highlighting the university's international strategic plan. Prof. Hongwei Wang, Vice Dean of ZJUI, and Prof. Yuan Yuan, Assistant Dean of ZJE, emphasized each respective institute's characteristics and achievements in cultivating innovative talents, scientific research innovation, and achievement transformation. Both parties expressed their hope to further deepen collaboration based on the existing partnership between the two universities and reach multiple consensuses in areas such as faculty and student mobility, joint training programs, academic exchanges, and scientific research cooperation.

During the visit, Alex Mihailidis and his delegation visited the Engineering Senior Design Exhibition. They had friendly exchanges with Prof. Timothy Lee, Assistant Professor of ZJUI, to gain a deeper insight into the relevant course offerings and teaching quality. Leaders of relevant institutes and offices of the International Campus attended the meeting.

The University of Toronto (UofT), founded in 1827, is a world-renowned and top public research university in Canada, dedicated to continuously promoting social change. In 2017, ZJU established university-level partnership with the UofT.
