Research:
The centrosome is an important signalling and microtubule organizing centre in mammalian cells. Centrosomal defects are a common in high grade cancer and have been shown to trigger tumorigenesis in mice. The impact of centrosomal defects in deregulating the cell cycle in cancer is poorly understood. Using genetic, cell biology and biochemical assays, we study how localised activation of signalling molecules on the centrosome trigger cell cycle transitions
