Cristoforo Demartino (1986) is an Assistant Professor (2019-) at the Zhejiang University/University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (ZJU-UIUC) Institute at the Zhejiang University, International Campus. He is also Adjunct Assistant Professor (2020-) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), Urbana-Champaign, Illinois, U.S. Cristoforo Demartino is the author of more than 100 publications on the topics of Structural Engineering, Wind Engineering, Earthquake Engineering, and Structural Dynamics. Dr. Demartino is particularly interested in structural engineering with a multidisciplinary approach having wide research interest in structural engineering, with an emphasis on investigating the dynamic behaviour of structures under natural and man-made loading, such as earthquake, wind, impact, etc. He used both numerical and experimental approaches to understand the response of structures under different loading conditions and to determine the structural behaviour. The main idea of Cristoforo Demartino is real engineering advancement of Engineering will involve a multi-disciplinary approach and cooperation across disciplines.
