Hongwei Ouyang, PhD, Qiu-shi distinguished professor of Zhejiang University, the honorary professor of the University of Edinburgh, His research focuses on cartilage and tendon regeneration with biomaterials and stem cells. Also, Prof. Ouyang is one of the pioneer on leading clinical cartilage tissue engineering and clinical translation of silk scaffolds for soft tissue repair. His research has been recognized by a number of awards, including awardee of National Science Fund for Outstanding Young Scholars, “the Science and Technology Progress Award (the first prize, 2012)” and “the Technology Invention Awards (the first prize, 2019)” from Minister of Education(MoE) of China, “the Natural Science Awards (the first prize, 2019)” of Zhejiang Province and a number of best research papers of ICRS and IST&L. He is the chair of China Society of Tissue engineering and Regenerative Medicine , the fellow of AIMBE, and the fellow of ICORS.
