‘Belt and Road’ and ‘BRICS’ Forum for Advanced Photonics held on the International Campus

On December 12, 2019, the ‘Belt and Road’ and ‘BRICS’ Forum for Advanced Photonics was held on the International Campus, Zhejiang University. More than 30 experts and scholars from ‘Belt and Road’ and ‘BRICS’ countries attended the forum.

 

The forum was co-organized by the International Research Center for Advanced Photonics, the Joint International Research Laboratory of Photonics (MOE), the Joint International Center for Photonic Technology (MOST), the College of Optical Science and Engineering, ZJU, and the International Campus. Prof. K.C. Ting gave a warm welcome to the guests and expressed the determination of the International Campus to strengthen international academic exchanges and cooperation and become a model of international education cooperation. Prof. Daoxin Dai, the Chair of the forum, said he believed that the forum provided opportunities for international cooperation and exchanges between scientists from the ‘Belt and Road’ and ‘BRICS’ countries. Academic and cultural communications will help people around the world acquire knowledge about the latest developments in technology.

 

Scholars from Zhejiang University; the Physical Instrumentation Center of General Physics Institute, Russia; the National Institute of Technology and Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi; the University of Campinas, Brazil; the National Institute of Lasers and Applications and Physics, COMSATS University, Pakistan; and the National University of Singapore, among others, delivered reports and expressed their desire for international cooperation.
