<p>The aim of this course is to give students an introduction to working in the research laboratory environment. This will be achieved by carrying out a short lab placement in a host research laboratory in either ZJE or ZJU. Students will be integrated into the research environment and encouraged to take part in all the research-related activities in the laboratory (this is not limited to working at the bench).

This course is designed for the graduate students who are interested in immunology and infectious diseases. This course first provides detailed instructions of the major components of immune system in mammals, innate and adoptive immune system and the regulations of immune systems. Then the course will focus on the immunology in diseases, including infectious diseases, tumor and immunology, auto-immune diseases and immune system in neural system. We will also discuss the cutting-edge techniques in immunological studies and immune therapy, such as CAR-T, microbiomes, TCR-seq.
