On November 9th , the exchange workshop between Zhejiang University and Haining local enterprises was held successfully at the international campus, Zhejiang University. More than 20 professors from ZJU-UIUC Institute, College of Electrical Engineering and other institutes of Zhejiang University attended the workshop, as well as executives and core technicians from nearly 30 local enterprises.
At the beginning, Prof. Philip Krein, executive dean of ZJUI, delivered a speech of "Creating the Future: How the International Campus of Zhejiang University Will Lead China's Engineering Education in a New form" to introduce the current situation and achievement of ZJUI. Later, professors from Zhejiang University and representatives from Haining local enterprises fully exchanged their ideas around the topics of future materials, sustainable development and Haining environment, and digital (intelligent) manufacturing & big data management. During the workshop, professors and enterprise representatives discussed enthusiastically, and some cooperative intentions were reached. After the workshop, both sides hoped that further exchanges and substantial cooperation can be established in the future.
This workshop established a bridge between the International Campus of Zhejiang University and Haining local enterprises, and was highly recognized by both professors and enterprise representatives. In the future, the International Campus will continue to organize a series of exchange activities between ZJU and enterprises to promote the cooperation in scientific research and innovation between the International Campus and Haining local enterprises, so as to create a win-win situation for both the university and enterprises.
