In September 16th, ZHU Guangran, president of Spain-China Friendship Investment Promotion Association and Chairman of Ningbo European Industrial Park, ZHU Yeyuye, General Manager of Spain Cantai Group - Ningbo Cantai Building Materials Co. LTD. visited the international Campus. LI Peipei, Vice Chairman of Zhejiang University Development Committee, OUYANG Hongwei, Dean of International Campus, ZJU, MA Hong, Deputy Director of Development and Liaison Office of ZJU, YAN Wenwen, Director of Overseas Development Department of Zhejiang University Education Foundation, and other leaders accompanied their visitation.
In the meantime, the donation ceremony of the ZHU family to the Zhejiang University Education Foundation was performed. OUYANG Hongwei, Dean of the International Campus, and MA Hong, Deputy Director of the Development and Liaison Office, presented the donation plaque and certificate to ZHU Yeyuye. And ZHU Guangran was appointed as the overseas development consultant of Zhejiang University.
During the ceremony, OUYANG Hongwei expressed sincere gratitude to the ZHU family for their support of International Campus and introduced the development of International Campus. He pointed out that as an international collaboration education model, the International Campus gives full play to the advantages of cooperation education, gathers the high-quality resources from home and abroad, and commits to building an education mode with fairness, sustainability and high level. Thus, the International Campus is in the forefront of the internationalization of higher education reform. He also expressed his expectation that in the future development of the model area, the International Campus would work with excellent entrepreneurs like President Zhu to explore a new mode of the school-enterprise integration, and to spur the development of International Campus.
LI Peipei expressed sincere gratitude to the ZHU family for donation to Zhejiang University and spoke highly of their contribution to the development of their motherland and the construction of their hometown. He indicated that the European antique furniture donated by ZHU family would add cultural value and artistic cultivation to the blending Chinese and Western culture within the International Campus. He hoped that the International Campus would properly keep the antiques and fully display the value of it.
President ZHU guangran expressed his passion and yearn for the international campus, and highly evaluated the education mode of the International Campus, hoping that the donated European antiques would display more value in campus. He said that he deepened his understanding of ZJU International Campus via this visitation and hoped to further discuss the university-enterprise cooperation to explore more cooperative opportunities.
In November 2020, the ZHU family donated 29 sets of European antique furniture to the international campus, including royal furniture and utensils, which were all collected by the family in Spain for a long time. The collection has high artistic value and cultural value for its flavor of times and exquisite craftmanship
