Recently, the fourth meeting of the International Campus Academic Affairs Committee (ICAAC) was successfully held. Professor HE Lianzhen, a member of the standing committee of CPC Zhejiang University Committee and Vice President of Zhejiang University, Professor OUYANG Hongwei, Dean of International Campus attended the meeting and delivered speeches. Professor LI Erping, a member of Academic Committee, Zhejiang University and Director of ICAAC, chaired the meeting. All members of the ICAAC attended the meeting.
Professor HE Lianzhen said that in the past year, the International Campus Academic Affairs Committee has played an important role in teaching, research and other academic affairs. With an eye on the future, the ICAAC should further give full play to its own advantages, strengthen the linkage with the campuses in Hangzhou, play a more active role in the construction of the international collaborative education model, empower the development of various disciplines, in order to realize resource sharing, complementing each other’s strengths, joint improvement and mutual benefits, and effectively advance ZJU deepen the new round of "double first-class" initiative.
Professor OUYANG Hongwei delivered a speech entitled “Be Forward-Looking and Courageous in Reform to Build the Educational Model” to introduced the construction progress and future planning of the international collaborative education model. He called on all ICAAC members to actively support and participate in the construction of the model and contribute to the creation of a "science and technology + education + industry + city" model for high-quality development.
Members of ICAAC focused on the construction of the international collaborative education model, and carried out in-depth discussions on the themes of interdisciplinary intersection, integrated industry-university-research and platform construction. During the meeting, many valuable suggestions on the next stage of academic development were made.
The meeting announced the adjustment of the composition of ICAAC. Upon recommendation, it was agreed to appoint Professor KE Yuehai, Professor Lee Der-Horng and Professor BEN Shenglin as the deputy directors of ICAAC. The Outstanding Academic Achievements of International Campus in 2022 were also selected on the ICAAC meeting.
