On the afternoon of March 27, Secretary YI Lianhong travelled to Haining, Jiaxing, to survey the work on deepening innovation, tackling hard issues in the reform, and promoting the opening-up level. During the survey tour, he urged the Campus to implement in depth the spirit of General Secretary XI Jinping’s important instructions on promoting high-quality development; fully, accurately, and comprehensively apply the new development philosophy; firmly grasp the primary task of high-quality development, set higher goals, take more effective measures and optimize routes to deepen innovation, tackle hard issues in the reform, and promote the opening-up level for greater results, so as to contribute to accelerating the construction of a high-level innovative province, a high-efficiency leading province of reform, and a high-energy opening-up province.

The International Campus has been designated as one of the first batch of international collaborative education models in the Outline of the Integrated Development of the Yangtze River Delta. YI Lianhong visited the International Campus, received updates of the International Campus, inspected the Smart Transport Lab, and learned about the research and talent cultivation. He hopes that the International Campus would adhere to the international collaborative education model, intensify efforts to recruit top-notch talents from across the world, optimize educational concepts and management models, enhance the level of talent cultivation, speed up commercialization of scientific and technological achievements, and accelerate the integrated development of education, science and technology talents, so as to realize the mutual integration and promotion between “a famous city and a renowned university”.
