The National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) not only supports basic researchers but also strives to cultivate talent, with an emphasis on innovative and interdisciplinary research teams. Through this support, the NSFC has made significant contributions to China's production of original, innovative research and has become the main channel for supporting scientific research in our country.
The International Campus revolves around three areas: artificial intelligence, human health, and low-carbon technology. To advance these areas, it establishes joint research institutions that span disciplines, institutions, and national borders; conducts organized scientific research; implements the "HAINA Talent Enrichment Program"; and attracts renown international talents. However, the Campus also leverages these global connections and resources to assist in regional economic and social development. Because it consists of three educational units and twelve international research centers, the Campus is uniquely able to nurture a multidisciplinary ecosystem of hybrid innovation, such as "artificial intelligence + medical engineering, information technology, and commerce."
The International Campus will continue to further leverage international cooperation and world-renown talents to create an innovative model of internationally collaborative education. In doing so, it will promote integrated development of educational technology and talents; boost regional economic and social development through integration of science, education, and industry; and ultimately, prove to be an integral, defining force for this world-class, Chinese university.
