On September 27th, International Campus held a pre-departure meeting for the staff to undergo practical training in several ZJU admin offices for the 2023 fall semester. After sending the first batch of seven staff members for training to the main campus in the spring semester, iZJU selected another nine staff members to ZJU’s Office of Global Engagement, Office of General Affairs, Library, Science and Technology Academy, Graduate School, Medical School, etc.
QU Lijuan, Vice Dean of International Campus, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. QU pointed out that young staff members are important forces driving the development of the campus and are the future of the campus. Hence, sending young staff to the admin offices of ZJU for training is a crucial component to the iPRIDE Staff Capacity Building Program. She affirmed the excellent performance of the first batch of trainees and put forward requirements for the upcoming batch. She encouraged all participants to attach great importance to this exchange, actively integrate into the work at the host offices, and consider this exchange experience as an important opportunity for their professional growth. Additionally, she asked the selected staff to conduct in-depth research, complete a report, organize an exchange between the home and host units, and deliver a presentation upon completion of the program.
The meeting, chaired by CHEN Ye, Director of the Human Resources Office, also invited representatives from the first batch of trainees, WANG Xuchao and CHEN Yanhui, to share their experiences. The selected staff for this round of exchange shared their respective work plans, and the leaders of corresponding units stated their candidate selection criteria and expressed their expectations from the candidates.
After the meeting, accompanied by the director of the Human Resources Office, the selected young staff reported to the host units and began their training there.
