The 140th Biomed-X Seminar of ZJE was successfully held in the East Hall on October 19, 2025. At the invitation of Dr. Liang Ma, Prof. Randy Schekman—Nobel Laureate in Physiology or Medicine (2013), Member of the National Academy of Sciences and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and Cell Biologist at the University of California, Berkeley—delivered an academic lecture entitled “Unconventional Secretion in Health and Disease”.

The seminar attracted a large number of audience. During the Q&A session, attendees raised questions enthusiastically, and Prof. Schekman addressed each inquiry with patience, providing the audience with deeper insight into the topic.
As an international authority in cell biology, Prof. Schekman’s lecture was not only a high-level academic exchange but also a testament to ZJE’s commitment to building a global research ecosystem and supporting the development of its students and faculty.
