SAPRK Seminar Series are held on a regular basis
SPARK stands for Scholarly progressive academic resonance kinetics as proposed by Prof. KC Ting, vice dean of international campus, Zhejiang university.
Inspired by this concept, Prof. Wei Guo (ZJE) and Prof. Huan Hu (ZJUI) co-developed this seminar idea and started this seminar series.
The aim of SPARK seminar series is to facilitate communications between faculty inside the international campus of Zhejiang University and promote collaborations on interdisciplinary research work particularly for the fusion of engineering & biomedical Science.
4th Juanhu Lake Salon held on International campus
The 4th Juanhu Lake Salon was held on the International campus of Zhejiang University on June 10th.This session of salon takes artificial intelligence as the theme.
Scientific Research Process Management Training Held on International Campus
In order to improve the scientific research process management, the Office of Scientific Research and Technology Transfer held the third scientific research training on June 5 2019, following the January’s National Natural Science Foundation training and the May’s patent application training. Several professors and research assistants from ZJE and ZJUI attended this training.

Recently, a good news comes from American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) that Zhang Yu, a student of ZJUI who majors in Civil Engineering, won the first place in China Division and fourth place in the world in Competition of Engineering Ethics Papers of 2019 ASCE Mid-Pacific Student Conference.

The first lecture on intellectual property rights was held on International Campus on May 9. Qiu Qiwang, Head of Qiushi Patent Office, delivered a speech patent application process and patent subsidy and reward policy of Zhejiang University to the teachers from ZJE and ZJUI at the invitation of the office of scientific research and technology transfer.
