ZJU-UoE Biomedical and Health Translational Research Centre is Jointly built by Zhejiang University-University of Edinburgh Institute and the University of Edinburgh.
ZJU-UoE Biomedical and Health Translational Research Centre(ZJE X-Med) is committed to advancing drug discovery and repurposing to treat human fatty liver disease，to study Chinese traditional medicines ability to treat fatty liver disease; and to develop novel biomarkers to accurately stage human disease from a liquid biopsy. Also, the technologies generated will be applicable to other areas of human liver physiology and disease. The interdisciplinary consortium is composed of scientists that have world leading experience in cell biology, materials chemistry, engineering, physics and the microbiome. Our project is interdisciplinary, combining cell biology with the other scientific disciplines to develop robust platforms to study human disease. And the scientific research achievements will be applied to practice through timely clinical transformation.
ZJE X-Med will build a high-quality academic platform with first-class talent team, efficient scientific research transformation, diversified cross innovation characteristics.
