Organized by the Zhejiang University Undergraduate School, this year's Teaching Innovation Competition (TIC) focused on the theme "Promoting Teaching Innovation, Cultivating Top-Notch Talent." This event is an important platform for the university to enhance educational reform, improve faculty teaching skills, and showcase its unique approach to talent development. The competition featured seven tracks that aligned with key initiatives, including "Four New" Disciplinary Development (“四新”建设), fundamental courses, curriculum-based ideological and political education, and integration of industry and education.

The remarkable success of the event can be attributed to the campus's comprehensive, multi-tiered preparation and support system for the competition. The Campus Party Committee and Administration placed significant emphasis on this event. Li Min, the Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Dean of the Campus, personally met with participants to provide guidance. Wu Yingcai, the Executive Vice Dean, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and Dean of ZJUI, oversaw the mobilization and training efforts. All academic units responded actively with focused mobilization strategies. The Campus Education and Teaching Department took the lead, collaborating efficiently with supporting departments such as the Support and Security Department to create a strong, synergistic support network.

To implement the "using competition to promote teaching" approach, the campus created a comprehensive guidance platform. Initially, national TIC first-prize winners Zhang Kejun and Zhou Jihong provided specialized training on competition rules and strategies. The campus also invited Professor Zhang Guangxin, Dean of the School of Engineering, to offer one-on-one guidance on participants' submission materials and instructional design. A panel of TIC review experts evaluated the application materials to help faculty refine their presentations of teaching innovations. Additionally, a professional video production team was assembled to create high-quality classroom teaching videos that showcased participants' teaching styles.

All participating faculty members fully committed themselves to refining their instructional designs and innovative content. Throughout the preparation and participation process, they developed a clearer understanding and more effective methods for enhancing instructional design, improving classroom presence, and managing Q&A sessions. They skillfully integrated advanced educational concepts with the unique characteristics of their disciplines, demonstrating the campus faculty's commitment to excellence and dedication to education.

Looking ahead, the International Campus will continue to deepen reform and innovation in teaching, striving to build broader platforms for faculty development. It aims to achieve further successes in more high-level competitions, continuously enhancing the campus's educational brand.
