On April 19th, the first session of Hai Club Talk in 2022 of International Campus was held. Professor OUYANG Hongwei, Dean of International Campus, and the representatives of faculty members and students held a heated and in-depth discussion on the theme of "Building the cross-disciplinary technology innovation system on the basis of east and west convergence”.

As part of the 125th anniversary of Zhejiang University and Global ZJU for Social Good (Z4G), the 1st Asia-Pacific Carbon Neutrality Symposium was successfully held virtually on April 11-12. The symposium was jointly hosted by Zhejiang University, the University of Sydney (USYD), the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras).

“The higher education community can play a key role in addressing global challenges and advancing the process of sustainable development,” Vice President HE Lianzhen told the webinar, which was held by the International Association of Universities (IAU) and Higher Education Teaching & Learning Association (HETL) on March 29.

Recently, Mr. FANG Junzhou (‘26, Computer Engineering), participated in the Fall 2021 UIUC Rhetoric Student Essay Contest with native speakers and was eventually selected as one of the Winner of the contest with his fascinating writing style, rigorous logical argumentation and excellent essay organization.

On the afternoon of March 9, the Campus Briefing 2022 and the 1st Trade Union Congress were held on the International Campus.

Recently, Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education announced the winners of the Provincial Teaching Achievement Award 2021. The International Campus won the Special Prize of Higher Education Teaching Achievement Award for its “‘Self-Initiation, High-Standard, One to Many’, Building an International Collaborative Education Model”.    

My story of coming to ZJU International Campus as a professor is quite unique and it is worth telling right from the beginning.

Recently, invited by the International Association of Universities(IAU), He Lianzhen, vice President of Zhejiang University (ZJU), was to publish an English article titled Together We Are Building a More Sustainable Community in the IAU Horizons.

On January 8, the 2nd Annual Academic Conference & Academic Forum of World-class Universities (AAC) was held by the International Campus of Zhejiang University in collaboration with more than 10 world-class universities and institutions, including the University of Edinburgh, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, the National University of Singapore and Australian National University. Themed on “Embracing Diverse Disciplines and Shaping the Future”, the event in the hybrid format brought together around 100 scholars from all over the world.
